Dried cherry and sultana, Luxardo cherry, and fig aromatics set the tone for the candied red fruits on the palate. The big structure and bright acid are nicely balanced and the medium-length finish has warm caramel and toffee notes to round it out.
A rich nose of Luxardo cherry, red currant, and star anise are a prelude to the morello cherry and plum on the palate. These red fruits are highlighted by the bright acidity and fine powdery tannins that provide great tension and length.
A complex balance of earthy and fruity with a slightly briny top note followed by dried plum, black currant, oregano, mustard seed, black cherry, pomegranate, and a wet granite minerality. The subtle acidity underpins the long velvety finish of slightly peppery notes and mild earthiness.
